Working to Reduce Crime in Your Community Crime Stoppers is a successful civilian non-profit organization, bringing together Police Services, Media, and Community in the Fight Against Crime.
Crime Stoppers of Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka takes anonymous information from the public to assist the Police in solving crimes. We pay cash rewards of up to $2000 for information that leads to an arrest, charges, recovery of stolen property or seizure of illegal drugs.
Crime Stoppers is NOT a police program nor a part of any police service. Crime Stoppers is not an investigative agency. The program acts as a secure method for getting your information to the investigative agency anonymously.
Crime Stoppers is based on a well developed and trusted tri-party relationship between the Public, the Police and the Media. The Public provides the anonymous information, the Police investigate the information/crime, and the Media assists in promoting awareness of unsolved crimes and the Crime Stoppers program as a whole.
