Jayne Pritchard will share her career journey, lessons learned, strategies for leadership and collaboration, and observations on progress made. Then, she and Tara Dawn from 93.1 Fresh Radio will have a conversational style interview using questions submitted through the zoom.
Jayne Pritchard, CTV BarrieJayne Pritchard has been with the Barrie TV station – in all its various names – since September 1982. She’s been a talk show host, reporter, promotions coordinator and anchor during that time and seen hundreds of people come and go from the station, amid a vastly changing media landscape. Because of the pandemic, she’s currently working from home behind the scenes setting up stories, writing for the six o’clock news and doing radio news for three local stations. In her spare time she’s a Registered Nutritional Counsellor, Reiki Master and soon-to-be author. Her book is about her breast cancer journey. Jayne shares what women might expect in terms of diagnostic tests and surgery, the emotional rollercoaster, possible setbacks, as well as the alternative treatments that are available for those who choose not to undergo chemotherapy or radiation. The book will also have a strong nutritional component, and list important supplements and medications that can boost the immune system and keep cancer at bay. It will also encourage women to find the blessings. Before coming to CKVR, she worked for Faberge, and escorted Cary Grant, Farrah Fawcett, Margaux Hemingway and Joe Nameth to company-sponsored events. |
Tara-Dawn Winstone, 93.1 Fresh RadioTara has been waking up Barrie and Simcoe County for 26 years as the host of Fresh Mornings with Matt and Tara. Previous to co-hosting with Matt, Tara was partnered up with Jamie Hall for 20 years of mornings at B101/Chay. She moved here from Brampton in 1994 and has never looked back. In fact, she loved the Barrie area so much that she eventually convinced most of her family to move up here too. Over the years, Tara has been involved with The Terry Fox Run, CIBC Run for the Cure, hosting the Women in Business Luncheon for The Barrie Chamber of Commerce, serves as Honourary Chair for the Barrie MS Walk, and is a dedicated volunteer and supporter of Empower Simcoe and Street Cats Rescue. Tara is thrilled to be hosting our key note speaker this year and cannot wait to return to seeing everyone in person in 2022! |
