"Know Your Stats" - Workshop with Statistics Canada - September 25, 2018

Join us for breakfast on September 25, 2018 and see a Census web tour to help you navigate the Statistics Canada website.  The web tour will be followed by a presentation on the City of Barrie and surrounding areas as well as a question and answer period.
 
This presentation will highlight some data products from the Census including the Census profile, but will not focus on causal relationships.  As this presentation will be introductory in nature, it may be too basic for more advanced data users.
 
Joanne Hans, Consulting Analyst from Statistics Canada, Central Region will be the presenter. Joanne has been with the Statistical Information Service since graduating from York University with an Honours B.A. in Economics/Psychology minor.  She has many years of experience in her current role as a Consulting-Analyst, in which she works with public and private sector data users to provide information relevant to their specific data needs across a multitude of subject areas.  She provides free data options where available, and guidance and support with creating specifications when customized data is required.   She has also created and delivered standard and customized presentations, workshops and webinars about Statistics Canada’s data and services to diverse audiences.
