You never know when somebody in your workspace may need CPR or First Aid, and having trained staff can be critical in these emergency situations. Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) help save thousands of lives in Canada each year. The statistics on survival with an AED used within minutes are amazing, giving people a significantly higher chance of survival. Our professionals are going to speak about why you should consider having an AED in your workplace; the regulations you should be aware of for AEDs, First Aid, and CPR; and the key points to look for before booking a training course online. |

Kevin Gee, Barrie First Aid & CPR TrainingKevin opened Barrie First Aid and CPR Training in January 2019 after teaching with EMT Canada for 1 year. While with EMT Canada, Kevin realized that there was room in the Barrie market for another First Aid Training provider, so he decided to launch Barrie First Aid and CPR Training. For almost 2 years the business ran out of a small office in Elmvale teaching groups of 5-10 people. February 1, 2021 Kevin opened a new training facility in Barrie and is continuing to expand steadily. Kevin has a background in construction, transportation management and has been to school to become a Paramedic. Kevin has a passion and love for the outdoors and gets outside with his wife, 2 daughters and dog any chance he gets. Barrie First Aid provides a flexible solution with the highest standards in Barrie for your First Aid and CPR Training needs. We understand the industry and your requirements as a business to ensure that you have the right course and right equipment to meet your WSIB obligations. |
Martin Andrews, Vita First AidMartin is the owner of Vita First Aid; he started the company in 2018 to help save lives by making AEDs more accessible. After just several years Vita has grown to become Canada’s AED company. Organizations and individuals from across Canada look to Vita to provide them with expert advice and the best products and services in the country. In July 2020, an Ontario Bill 141 received royal assent to mandate AEDs in certain locations. Martin and many other organizations had been lobbying the government for several years to act. This is just the beginning of making AEDs required similar to fire extinguishers. |
