CFB Borden: Partners and Neighbours in Simcoe County Speaker: Jennifer Armstrong-Lehman
Third Honorary Colonel - and the first female - for Base Borden Join us for our September Business breakfast which will include a short history of the Base dating back to the First World War, the role the Base plays in the greater community, key initiatives, and the future direction of the base.
Jennifer Armstrong-Lehman officially became the third honorary colonel- and the first female- for the base in January.
After graduating university with an education in political science, Armstrong-Lehman joined the Department of Foreign Affairs as a Foreign Service Officer before moving to Barrie with her husband Jeff. She quickly got involved with her new community, supporting organizations such as Hospice Simcoe and Gilda's Club, teaching part time at Georgian and even dancing in the 2014 Easter Seals Dancing with the Stars fundraiser. In her newly appointed role as Honorary Colonel, Armstrong-Lehman acts as the ambassador between the military community they represent and the civilian community in which they live and work.
