Since 1983, POGO has been a champion of childhood cancer care. We provide families with a child in active treatment with financial support to help ease the burden. We commit to their ongoing care, knowing that childhood cancer survivors endure medical challenges into adulthood. We advance cancer care for all children with cancer through our pioneering database that holds the health records of children diagnosed with cancer since 1985 and allows our research team to make decisions based on quantitative and qualitative proof. POGO leads a unique and impactful pediatric cancer network that is a model for Canada, and worldwide. As the subject matter expert in childhood cancer care POGO became the official advisor to the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care in 1995.
